Hello PaLA 2011 Conference Attendees!

This blog and the related accounts linked from here on Google, GMail and Twitter were created for a conference session that was presented on Sunday afternoon, October 2nd 2011 at Penn State.

The purpose of this blog and the attached accounts is to provide a venue for any PaLA members who:

1. Would like to familiarize themselves with some current free online tools, but who are not ready to establish their own accounts.

2. Would like to use this space to save, share and compare notes or summaries of sessions and events from PaLA 2011 at Penn State.

These tools were set up by two librarians from the University of Pittsburgh as part of a live hands-on demonstration for the MobiLibrarians Session at PaLA. These accounts are meant to be grass-roots in nature, and are not part of the official PaLA online presence or archives, just to be clear.

We have no plans to delete or otherwise change the open access nature of these sites and accounts. We will be keeping an eye on them to assist anyone using them for the purposes stated above. Some information on account log-in's and use is outlined here, and anyone who would like the passwords for more complete access is invited to contact us (that information was also distributed during the conference.)

If someone would like to "inherit" these accounts for continued use and take over the "house-keeping" role, please do let us know!

Thank you to everyone who made PaLA 2011 such a great experience!

Patricia & Robin
